Want to Get Certified? Follow These Steps.

Step 1: Complete the Exercise Theory Course

Step 2: Choose a Certification Path

Within 6 months of passing the FLC Exercise Theory Exam, you must choose a certification from one of three modules:

Group Exercise

Aquatic Exercise

Exercise for Older Adults

Step 3: Complete CPR and First Aid Training

All applicants must provide proof of CPR/First Aid Training. 

CPR/First Aid Certificates must be current:

  • CPR (minimum Level A) and First Aid must be current and within two years from date of issue.  
  • Blended learning (combination of in-class and online instruction) is acceptable for certification and renewals if the service provider offers this option. 
  • Approved providers are Red Cross, Life Saving Society, Ski Patrol, St. Johns Ambulance & Basic Life Support Course (BLS) along with a First Aid course (both certificates are required)

Step 4: Submit All Documents to SPRA

Once you have completed all the previous steps, you must send the following to SPRA:
