Duties and responsibilities:

SaskAbilities’ Camp Easter Seal (Saskatoon Branch/Manitou Lake) is seeking an Office Administrator. Reporting to the Camp Manager, this role coordinates camp office operations and supports administrative processes and projects. From May to August, the position also leads, supervises, trains and evaluates seasonal staff.

  • Coordinate camper application and intake processes, including databases, forms and communications with families and caregivers
  • Maintain camp systems, including lists, schedules, records, reporting and file management
  • Support hiring processes and collaborate on summer storytelling, statistics and funding information.
  • Act as the first point of contact, managing inquiries, communications and visitors with professionalism.
  • Assist with financial administration, including invoices, payments, records, purchasing and budget support.
  • From May to August, supervise seasonal staff, including training, scheduling, payroll coordination and operations support.
  • Reside at camp during summer and support overall operations, including acting on behalf of the Camp Manager as needed.
  • Follow SaskAbilities policies, attend training and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Office Administration Diploma, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience (2 years). Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License.

Experience:

  • Experience supervising staff and supporting people experiencing disability.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools. Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Comprehensive Programming and Behavioural Support Plans is an asset, as is experience with accounting software.
  • Experience working in a camp environment.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including working with people with disabilities; proven leadership, organization and customer service abilities.
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and ability to prioritize and manage high volumes of information; creative and adaptable. Pool Operator certification, CPR/First Aid and WHMIS (or willingness to obtain).
