Meeting Lake Regional Park is seeking a Summer Rec Program Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting the Summer Rec Program Leader with Youth and Adult programming put on by the Meeting Lake Regional Park over the months of July and August. This position will also support ground staff with general park duties in coordination with the Park Manager. 

Qualifications/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • High school or Post-Secondary Student
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and creative 
  • Must be physically able to fulfill job duties
  • Experience working with children 
  • Manage documentation (permission forms, waivers etc.)
  • Set up and lead rec activities
  • Assist with general park duties during slower periods if necessary 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends during peak times or events
  • Valid Standard First Aid/CPR “C”/AED Certification
  • Provide a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector upon hire
  • Wage or salary will be determined based on experience
