The Town of Wadena is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Parks and Recreation 
Coordinator to support the delivery of recreation programs, community events, and facility use. 
This dynamic role focuses on planning, coordination, and administrative responsibilities, rather 
than hands-on maintenance of parks or facilities.

Working closely with community groups, committees, and volunteers, the Coordinator plays a 
key role in fostering local recreation opportunities, coordinating facility bookings, securing grant 
funding, and contributing to initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum Grade 12 education and hold a valid Saskatchewan 
Class 5 Driver’s Licence. They will demonstrate strong organizational and administrative abilities, 
with the capacity to effectively coordinate multiple programs, events, and facility bookings. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proven ability to work 
collaboratively with community groups, committees, and volunteers. Post-secondary education in 
recreation, community development, or a related field will be considered an asset. 

Salary, pension, and benefits will be provided in accordance with the Town of Wadena’s policies 
and will be based on experience.
