About the Role
Are you passionate about community development, youth engagement, and recreation? The Northern Community & School Recreation Coordinator Program (NC & SRCP) is seeking a dedicated Program Consultant to support and mentor Recreation Coordinators across northern Saskatchewan. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in remote and Indigenous communities by helping build vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable recreation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Community & School Recreation Coordinators (CSRCs)
- Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of local sport, culture, and recreation initiatives
- Facilitate training sessions and professional development opportunities
- Monitor program activities and assist with reporting and impact assessment
- Build partnerships with schools, Indigenous organizations, and community stakeholders
- Contribute to program planning, budgeting, and grant applications
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Recreation, Community Development, Education, or a related field
- Experience working in northern communities would be an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel within northern Saskatchewan
- Knowledge of culturally responsive programming and community engagement strategies
