Employment Type: Seasonal (April 27-Sept 30)
Salary Range: $18-$24/hour
The main duties include:
- Monitoring and maintaining all equipment, and vehicles including maintenance logs for vehicles, equipment and fuel
- Providing Park Manager with supply and work order requests
- Operate a push and a ride on mowers throughout the Park including golf course
- Maintaining and testing park water supply (three wells)
- Hauling equipment and supplies for rentals and events
- Attend to garbage removal throughout the Park
- Attend to the day-to-day maintenance requirements of Park buildings, roads, grounds and general property. This includes cleaning, basic construction, pruning brush, cutting trees, painting etc.
- Cleaning outhouses, showers, bathrooms
- Cleaning campsites
- Cleaning Rental Cabin between rentals
- Maintaining Flower pots and gardens
- Respond to park patrons' inquiries regarding the park and surrounding area, activities, points of interest, amenities and the Parks rules and regulations;
- Have sufficient knowledge of Park policies and procedures, to ensure patrons comply;
- Be able to recognize, react quickly, and think clearly when emergency situations or confrontations occur to contact Park Management, local emergency services and/or law enforcement authorities as required;
- Undertake park development projects under the direction of Park Management;
- Suggest ways of improving park operations and cost-effectiveness;
- Be comfortable working as part of team, but also be able to work independently with or without direction.
- Bring a friendly and helpful face to park visitors, answering questions about park policies and happenings and enforcing park regulations
Must have a valid driver’s license, accommodations and mileage not included in position
