The Town of Wadena is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as
Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for the upcoming season. If you enjoy working with people, have
strong swimming skills and are passionate about water safety this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The following positions are available at the Wadena Aquatic Centre:
Instructor / Lifeguard:
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age;
• Must Possess Current
- Swim for Life Instructor Course
- National Lifesaving Service Certificate (NLS)
- Standard First Aid & CPR “C”
Wage: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience.
Lifeguard:
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age;
• Must Possess Current
- Bronze Cross
- National Lifesaving Service Certificate (NLS)
- Standard First Aid & CPR “C”
Wage: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
Junior Lifeguard:
• Applicants must be at least 14 years of age;
• Must Possess Current
- Bronze Cross
- Standard First Aid & CPR “C
Wage: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience
The Town of Wadena will reimburse Lifeguard and Swim Instructor Certification in accordance to a
1-year employment term.
