ABOUT THE ROLE
The Martensville Recreation Centre, operated by Nustadia Recreation are seeking a seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Full-Time Facility Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient operation of our arena and fieldhouse. As an Operator, you’ll work closely with our team to provide exceptional service, adjust to the needs of the day, and grow your expertise through hands-on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate and maintain facility equipment including ice resurfacers, ice edgers, and turf maintenance tools.
• Complete arena maintenance inspections and record in maintenance logbooks.
• Monitor refrigeration plant readings and maintain safe ice conditions.
• Perform ice installation and removal.
• Liaise with customers, participants, and user groups.
• Assist with special event setup and teardown.
• Perform custodial duties and general facility upkeep.
• Supervise and train part-time operations staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Previous facility operations or maintenance experience (asset).
• Refrigeration/systems/trades experience (asset).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Criminal Record Check.
• Arena Operator Certification (Level I or II preferred, not required).
• WHMIS, First Aid/CPR AED, and H2S Alive certifications (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
