Position Details:

Salary: $142,141.22

35 hours per week

This role provides strategic leadership across emergency services, community programs, and municipal enforcement, directly impacting service delivery and community well-being.

Responsible for the overall  strategic planning, leadership and management for: 

• Family & Community Support Services (FCSS)
• Public transportation
• Parks, recreation & culture
• the Library
• Municipal enforcement (bylaw)
• Fire & Rescue
• Emergency management
• Corporate health & safety

What you bring:

• Post-secondary education in public administration, community development, emergency management, or a related discipline
• progressive senior leadership experience within municipal, emergency services, or protective services environments.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, ideally within a unionized setting
• Strong strategic leadership with the ability to align operations, policy, and service delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex portfolios, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
• Sound judgement and the ability to lead in politically sensitive and high-accountability environments.
