Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Arena Manager. In this role,
you will be responsible for leading and managing a team to achieve our companies and our clients
operational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Arena Manager is responsible for the overall operation, administration, and maintenance of a
public ice rink in Wadena, Saskatchewan. This pivotal role requires a blend of leadership, technical
expertise, customer service skills, and financial acumen. The manager ensures that the ice arena runs
efficiently, safely, and profitably, serving a diverse clientele—including figure skaters, hockey teams,
recreational skaters, and community groups.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Post-secondary education in recreation management, facility management, or a related field
is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in facility or recreation management, with at
least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working in an ice arena in private or public facility is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ice maintenance equipment and techniques, including Zamboni operation and
basic refrigeration systems.
• Minimum of Arena Operator Level 1 or a Combination of Global Venue Institute Courses.
