News & Events

Are you passionate about making your community a safer place? Do you believe in the power of building on local assets, strengths and relationships?

STOPS to Violence would love to work with you!

‘Reconnecting Community’ uses an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to start with what’s strong, not what’s wrong in local communities.  It is a way to see communities as full of potential that can be leveraged for solutions to their needs and problems. Click here to learn more about the initiative.

This call is for communities who want to:

  • Help to bring community together to learn and talk about how to make the community safer, support healthy relationships and nurture strong families
  • Work together to address safety challenges and improve community well-being
  • Focus on strengthening relationships and connections in your community

Who are STOPS to Violence looking for?

  • This initiative is for smaller communities with a population of 2500 people or less located in central or southern Saskatchewan
  • This includes towns, villages, and First Nations
