Paths to Prosperity Provincial Summit - Connecting the Dots

The Paths to Prosperity Provincial Summit is happening October 26-28 in Saskatoon.

We’ve partnered with the Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance (SEDA) and the Saskatchewan Indigenous Economic Development Network (SIEDN) to offer a unique professional development and networking opportunity for our members. The Paths to Prosperity Provincial Summit will bring together elected officials, administrators, economic development professionals, and recreation and parks practitioners to help “connect the dots” across sectors.

Attending the 2026 Provincial Summit is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your work in parks and recreation. You’ll learn from leaders in community development, innovation, and collaboration, and gain insights you can apply directly to your role.

The program features more than 20 sessions and keynote presentations focused on practical topics such as creative problem-solving and building stronger partnerships. For example, keynote speaker Bill Stainton will explore how to generate new ideas by making unexpected connections, while Brenda Herchmer’s session, “From Silos to Systems,” highlights how recreation, local government, and other sectors can work together to enhance community well-being.

Overall, the summit will offer a valuable chance to gain practical ideas, build new partnerships, and bring fresh, innovative approaches back to your organization to strengthen recreation services in your community.
