Become an SPRA Play Mentor!
Play Leaders are an important part of delivering quality play opportunities in our province. They are front-line leaders delivering summer play programs, camps, and before-and-after school activities for children ages 4-12.
Play Leadership training equips Play Leaders with the knowledge and skills to plan and deliver safe, inclusive and engaging play opportunities for children across our province.
Who are Play Mentors?
Play Mentors facilitate the SPRA Play Leadership training. They guide Play Leaders through the 7.5 hour in-person training, which combines classroom style learning, group activities and individual reflection.
Play Mentors should have experience working with children or supervising front-line leaders of children’s programs.
Play Mentors who are contracted by SPRA to deliver Play Leadership training are eligible to receive a Facilitation Fee, plus travel expenses (paid at SPRA rates).
When is Play Mentor Training?
SPRA is hosting Play Mentor training on Saturday, March 14th in Saskatoon. There is no cost to participate. Mileage and accommodation reimbursement may be available for those residing outside of the Saskatoon area.
