HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD)

October 26th - 9a.m. - 5p.m

Kenosee Inn

Kenosee Lake, SK

Registration Fee: $30 per person

This one day training will help front-line leaders (anyone working with children aged 6 to 12 - i.e. After school program leader) improve the quality of programs. It provides in depth training in the HIGH FIVE® Principles of healthy child development so front-line leaders understand what they need to do to ensure each child's social, emotional and cognitive needs are met. Leaders learn activities and gain knowledge, tips and resources to enhance their programs as well as their relationships with children and other staff members.

Fundamental Movement Skills - Community Leader

November 9th - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Weyburn Credit Union

Weyburn, SK

Registration Fee: $20 per person

This one-day workshop integrates core themes such as fair play, safety, responsibility, and communication with an innovative skill development process. Participants are given the opportunity to create simple games to improve fundamental movement skills such as throwing, hopping, skipping, jumping, kicking, striking, balancing, catching, and agility. It is specifically designed for all leaders of youth physical activity and recreation programs.

HIGH FIVE® Quest 2

November 29th - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Poplar Tree Inn

Stoughton, SK

Registration Fee: $30 per person

This one-day training will help your Supervisors improve the quality of your children's programs by learning how to measure it with the HIGH FIVE® scientifically validated Tool. Supervisors will get practical training on the use of QUEST 2 and will gain access to the HIGH FIVE® database. They will learn how to enter their data into the database to help them continually track their progress as well as identify areas of need.
