Host an SPRA Fitness Certification Module

To host a Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) certification module in your area or looking for a professional to bring the latest fitness trends and knowledge to your community, please contact a SPRA Course Conductor.

The SPRA Fitness Division follows the National Fitness Leadership Alliance (NFLA) performance standards and guidelines. All Theory Course Conductors must have post-secondary education with mandatory classes in Exercise Physiology and Anatomy. All specialty module Course Conductors must take post-secondary classes in three of the following areas: Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Adult Education or Facilitation and other courses of similar content.

Host a Certification Module in your community!

Are you interested in hosting a training module in your community? To host a Fitness Theory, Group Exercise, Aquatic Exercise or Exercise for Older Adult module, please complete the Module Hosting Form and return to the SPRA office.

Host a Strength Training Course in your community!

To host a Strength Training course, please complete the Strength Training Host Form and return to the SPRA office.  Please note that the Strength Training course is for Continuing Education Credits only and is not a certification module.

Pre-requisite Note: Fitness Theory Course and successful completion of a Group, Aquatic or Older Adult Exercise module are required for participants attending the SPRA Strength Training Course.
