Parkland Valley Sport, Culture and Recreation District (Parkland Valley District) is looking for two (2) self-motivated individuals to fulfill the full-time, temporary positions of Summer Play Programmer. These positions will run play programs in rural communities within the Parkland Valley District.

Positions will commence June 1, 2023 and end August 25, 2023.

Duties include but not limited to:
- Plan and lead 2-hour play programs focusing on fundamental movement skills, physical literacy, cultural and creative activities in various communities within our District.
- Work with volunteers to set up visits in communities.
- Successfully complete HIGH FIVE and other leadership training opportunities (provided by Parkland Valley District).
- Ability to work as part of a team with the other staff and volunteers from communities.
- Complete all evaluations and reports as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Community Consultant.

Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to those with a background or training in Recreation and Leisure, Kinesiology or Education.
- Valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- Experience working with children would be an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, Canva, Facebook, Instagram
- Knowledge and/or experience in recreation programming and program development.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification would be an asset.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the organization’s travel rate.
