Position Summary:

The Town of Elrose, The R.M. of Monet and the Elrose Monet Recreation Board are seeking a full-time

Director of Recreation, Culture & Promotion. The Director of Recreation, Culture & Promotion will

work with volunteer boards in developing programs, overseeing facility administration, maintenance &

applying for applicable grants. Facilities under the managers jurisdiction include, but not limited to the

Uniplex & the Elrose Regional Park, The Scout Hut & Memorial Hall.

Position Reports:

Monet - Elrose Rec Board – Chairman or Appointed Member of the Board

Salary/Wage:

$52,000 + based on qualifications and experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

This full-time position is responsible for directing a comprehensive recreation program providing

administrative assistance and promotion to local recreation, sport, cultural groups and business as

directed. Oversees management of recreation facilities, contracted services and department employees

and assists in the preparation of the department budgets and manages community projects and events.

The following certifications would be an asset (or willing to obtain):

Pool Operator Course 1 & 2,

Refrigeration Plant Operator, Arena Operators 1&2, First Aid & CPR.
