Welcome Nicole Braun! 

This September, we welcomed Nicole Braun to our Team, as Active Living Assistant Consultant while Maeve McKinnon is on maternity leave.

Hi, I’m Nicole (Nikki) Braun, and I’m excited to join SPRA as an Active Living Assistant Consultant. 

My interest in health and physical activity led me to study Kinesiology and then pursue a Masters of Public Health, with a specialization in health promotion. I've worked across several non-profit and government settings, with my longest stint being at the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency in a cancer prevention role. My work has involved planning and evaluating programs, translating research into practical tools and resources, communicating health information, and most broadly, working with partners to advance changes to policies, practices, behaviours, and environments to support health.  

More recently I launched a videography and creative consulting business, helping sport and other purpose-driven clients to share their stories.  

I'm based in Saskatoon and outside of work I like to stay active and involved in my community. I volunteer with my touch football league and I am the quarterback of my team (the Blitz) in the summer, and in the winter I coach, officiate, and/or play ringette. My latest creative kick has been learning to sew. Applique everything! And then there's Goose, my dog, who gets me outdoors and reminds me not to take life too seriously.
