Brief Summary: 
The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) is accepting nominations for a representative on the Recreation Section Review Committee (RSRC).  

The Recreation Section Review Committee provides an adjudication function in the review of the applications for funding from the Recreation Section of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund. This Committee will provide recommendations concerning the Annual Grant review process and other Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation program issues to the SPRA Board of Directors.

To nominate an individual to sit on the Recreation Section Review Committee, complete the Nomination Form and email, fax or mail it, along with a brief résumé of the nominee, to the SPRA office on or before September 30, 2017.  

If you are considering nominating an individual for this position, please review the Terms of Reference, along with the following guidelines:

  • Committee members cannot be employees of any Provincial Recreation Association or a Sport, Culture and Recreation District
  • An organization can only have one representative on the Committee at any given time
  • The Committee term is two years in length, beginning September 2017 and ending August 2019
  • Committee members will be requested to attend one in person meeting per year (this meeting will be at least three days in duration). The four other meetings will be conference calls (of approximately one hour per call)
  • The individual being nominated should have basic computer knowledge and skills
