Energy efficiency is one of the best ways to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions and have a positive impact on your facility’s bottom line. More and more rinks and arenas are understanding the importance and value of managing their energy. To help set your arena or rink above the crowd, Natural Resources Canada is bringing ENERGY STAR certification to Canada!
What is ENERGY STAR certification? It is Natural Resources Canada’s new and exciting recognition program for best-in-class energy performance, and it will launch in Canada on March 26, 2018. This coveted program will highlight superior energy performance in ice/curling rinks.
Registering and benchmarking your arena/rink can get you certification and recognition as an energy efficiency leader among your peers across the country.
Submit an application for ENERGY STAR certification before April 30, 2018, and if approved, your ice/curling rink facility will earn the distinction of being among the first ENERGY STAR certified buildings in Canada!
What do you need to do to participate?
- Register your ice/curling rink in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
- Benchmark your facility with at least 12 consecutive months of energy data.
- Submit your application for ENERGY STAR certification between March 26 and April 30, 2018, 11:59 p.m. PDT
