Fitness Leadership

Welcome to the Online Renewal System

Please complete the entire renewal process all at onceRefrain from clicking on the back button on your browser during this process, as it will cause issues with completing your online renewal.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your renewal is complete.

Important Update

SPRA received the 2022 Insurance rates at the end of December 2021, reflecting a $15 per Fitness Leader rate increase.

Note that the insurance policy now includes online class insurance for all Fitness Leaders. The $10 online coverage will not need to be purchased separately.

For details related to delivering online classes please refer to the Insurance for Fitness Leaders page on our website.

With online class coverage now included and mandatory within the insurance policy along with a base increase, be aware of and plan for an increase in renewal fees in 2023.

Before You Begin

Before starting your online renewal, you will need to have a copy of the following electronic documents so they are ready to upload:

  • CPR Certificate - attach your CPR Certificate (must be current and within 2 years from date of issue)

  • First Aid Certificate - attach your First Aid Certificate (must be current and within 2 years from date of issue) only if it is different than your CPR Certificate

    • Blended learning is acceptable for CPR and First Aid certification and renewals, if the service provider offers this option. Blended learning is a combination of in-class and online instruction. The theory information is shared through an online component, and the in-class teaching focuses on skills and applied theory.

  • Practical Hours Verification form. Due to COVID, 20 hours of practical teaching time is NOT required for the 2022 renewal. Record only those hours taught from January 1 - December 31, 2021. The form must be submitted, even if no hours have been taught.

  • If CECs are due and you did not attend SaskFit 2020 or 2021, you will need to attach the Continuing Education Credits Application for Leaders form and all requested documentation, including a copy of any certificates that you received from the course/workshop.

    • If you have multiple documents, attach the CEC Application form in the online renewal and email the remaining documents to fitness@spra.sk.ca

You can submit a scan of these documents or take a picture of the documents with your smartphone.

After you have attached all the files, select your payment method before you click on the Next button, which will complete your online renewal.

Practical Hours are the hours that you have taught in the past year (January to December). The estimate of the individuals taught are the number of people that you provided fitness programming to. Individuals are to be counted only once.
