The Recreation Facility Management Course is intended to be an introductory course/workshop. The Course will provide participants information and examples in a number of areas that are often overlooked or not implemented at the management level. 

The Recreation Facility Management Course will be divided into three (3) modules that include:

1.            Employee Safety and Training

2.            Management Practices

3.            Capital Planning and Budgeting

The Changing Trends in Recreational Liability Course will discuss the real liabilities and risks associated use of your parks, trails and recreational lands and the steps you can take to improve service delivery and operation of your department. Using examples from recent liability losses, workshop leader, Doug Wyseman drives home the need for improved risk management efforts and provides easy to follow steps to succeed. Topics discussed will include indoor and outdoor rinks, playing fields, trails, programs and much more!  Doug Wyseman has been involved in risk management for 40 years. He has been recognized as a leading recreational risk management coordinator across North America.

Both courses are part of the package and cannot be taken separately.  The intended audience that the course will focus on and the ones that it will be beneficial for are: Town Councils and Administrators, Recreation Directors and Facility Managers, Board Members and Volunteers.
