Join Municipalities of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association for a two-part event about mental health and recreation on April 13, 2021:
Part 1 - 9:00 am - 10:00 am – Watch the replay of an interview with Tristen Durocher, originally aired as part of our 2021 Convention. In the interview with Rhonda Rosenberg, executive director of the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, Durocher discussed steps that municipalities can take towards creating safer and healthier communities, which include investing in recreation.
Part 2 - 10:00 am-11:00 am – Join SPRA and three expert speakers who will discuss how recreation can be a catalyst for building safer and healthier communities. This session will focus on the importance of recreation, its influence on wellbeing, and how it can serve as a valuable complement to a holistic community mental health strategy. You will also learn concrete steps that your municipality can take to create more inclusive, safe, and affordable spaces for people to gather.
If you can't make it to the live event, don't worry! A recording will be sent out to all registrants. If you are unable to attend and have questions you would like answered during the session, put them in the Questions and Comments box below and we will ask them on your behalf.
