SaskPower Rate Increase Proposal - Advocacy Tool Kit
On December 11, 2008 the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel announced a proposed 13% system average increase from SaskPower effective May 1, 2009. SPRA has created a toolkit that communities can use when approaching the government to increase awareness of the impacts such an increase would have on communities and their efforts to provide quality recreation activities.

SaskPower Energy Management Manual for Arena and Rink Operators
The Energy Management Manual for Arena and Rink Operators is designed to help operators of Saskatchewan's arenas and rinks reduce their operating costs through energy efficiency, thereby leading to an even greater enjoyment of recreational facilities across the province.

The manual presents practical ideas for saving money on energy costs in ice arenas, curling rinks and similar recreational complexes. Broad ranges of topics are covered, including funding projects, details of specific components that apply to new facilities, renovations and day-to-day maintenance. Each suggestion was carefully researched and reviewed to ensure accuracy and practicality.
