Aboriginal Services exists to help First Nations, Metis people and Northern communities sustain their values and traditions through culturally appropriate community-based recreation programs. With input from our Aboriginal Advisory Committee, we:

• Provide advice, training and resources to ensure the intergration of Aboriginal programming within the parks and recreation network
• Offer funding opportunities to our active members, like the Métis Recreation Development Grant and First Nation Member’s Recreation Development Grant
• Are responsible for the implementation and development of initiatives that create Aboriginal leadership and participation in parks and recreation, such as:
  • Everybody gets to play^TM
  • Grant Writing
  • Holistic Empowerment Leadership Program (HELP)
