Recreation Professionals Week Spotlight: Kristeen Cherpin

During Recreation Professionals Week, June 18-24, 2018, the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) and the Saskatchewan Association of Recreation Professionals (S.A.R.P.) are shining a spotlight on the professionals who make recreation opportunities possible through their hard work and passion.

Today we'd like to highlight the contributions of Kristeen Cherpin

For the past 4 years, Kristeen Cherpin has been working as a Recreation Director in the Town of Radville, Saskatchewan.

Here's what she had to say about what recreation means to her, and why she loves working in the field:

What do you enjoy most about your position?

I like the diversity that comes from the industry. Every given day brings forth something different: a new challenge, experiences, ideas or concepts. Also, through strategic planning, you get to see the evolution of programs and services over time.

What is your personal passion or interest?

My personal passion is camping, gardening, watching my children play ball or hockey and, most recently, my grandson!

This Recreation Professionals Week spotlight was shared with us by the Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District
